Newton – Part Time Nanny/Family Assistant (30 hours/week) – June 29th Start

A kind family located in Newton is searching for a part time nanny/family assistant to begin on June 29th. They have 2 children, ages 5 and 2, who attend programs until the afternoon each day.

The schedule for this position is M-F 1pm-7pm for a guarantee of 30 hours/week. Childcare duties include school pick up, managing the afternoon and early evening routines, packing lunches for the following day, planning developmentally appropriate activities and outings, and spending time outdoors as often as possible. Household duties include simple, basic family meal preparation, household laundry support, receiving and unpacking grocery deliveries, organizing the children’s bedrooms and play areas, loading/unloading the dishwasher as needed, and maintaining general tidiness throughout the day.

The family is eager to meet candidates who are energetic, joyful, engaging, and passionate about working with children. They value a no screens approach and are looking to hire someone who will foster independence. Adaptability and proactivity are key, as stepping in wherever needed to help the household run smoothly is what they are hoping to find. Both parents work from home on occasion.
