Wellesley – Afterschool Nanny/Family Assistant (25-30+ hours/week) – By Mid-October Start

A down to earth, communicative family in Wellesley is searching for a long-term afterschool nanny/family assistant to begin by mid-October! Care is for their 2 children, ages 11 and 9.

The core schedule is M/Tu/Th 2pm-7:30pm and W 11am-7/7:30pm, but there is the option to start earlier any/each day for a guarantee of 30 hours/week. Extra ad hoc hours are requested for planned school events such as parent-teacher conferences and the occasional date night. Primary transportation responsibilities are for the 9 year old who requires a daily school pickup and attends various activities in Wellesley and surrounding towns. Post-extracurricular routine includes overseeing homework and shower time for both kids, dinner, and downtime to decompress. There is a sweet, 13 year old small dog in the home who requires a short walk and a little love. Household support tasks for extra hours include children’s laundry, basic meal preparation (such as prepping snacks, cutting produce, etc.), and light family errands.

The family has had the same nanny for the last 11 years and hopes to find a kind, dedicated person to help keep their household running smoothly, especially given that one parent travels frequently. All candidates must have a clean driving record and an up-to-date COVID booster. Ideal candidates have an affinity for this age group, understanding the delicate balance of providing support while still fostering independence.
