Newton – Part Time Nanny (30 hours/week) – August 3rd Start

A sweet family in Newton Centre is searching for a part time nanny to begin ideally on August 3rd (flexible to mid-August)! They have 2 children, ages 2 and 5 months. Care will primarily be for the baby as the older child attends a program until the early afternoon each day.

The schedule for this position is M/Tu 7:30am-5:30pm, W/Th 7:30am-12:30pm for a guarantee of 30 hours/week. Responsibilities include all aspects of thoughtful infant care, planning developmentally appropriate activities that support milestone achievements, getting outdoors as often as possible, and maintaining a healthy eat/sleep/play routine. Additional duties include drop-off and pick-up for the older child (within walking distance), bottle preparation and sterilization, children’s meal preparation when the time comes, children’s laundry, keeping the children’s bedrooms organized, and general tidying.

Best matches for this family have prior professional infant and toddler experience, speak fluent toddler, and are able to get down on children’s levels when managing big feelings. Both parents work outside the home.
