Jamaica Plain – Evening Nanny/Household Manager (up to 21 hours/week) – ASAP Start

A busy family in Jamaica Plain is searching for a part time nanny/household manager to begin when the right match is found! They have 2 children, ages 4 and 1.

Based on candidate preference for exact times, the ideal schedule is M-Th 4/5pm-7:30/8pm, F 3/3:30pm-7:30/8pm for up to 21 guaranteed hours/week. The goal is to have at least 30 minutes of overlap with the family’s full time nanny’s schedule to allow for transitioning. The full time nanny ends at 5:30pm Monday through Thursday and at 4pm on Friday. Willingness to provide the occasional Saturday shift of 10am-4pm is strongly preferred. Duties include occasional school pick up, assisting with the afternoon/evening routine, dinner/meal preparation or support, after dinner clean up, household laundry, running errands, light grocery shopping/pick ups, making lunch for the next day, organizational tasks, and general tidying.

Best matches are energetic, reliable, and organized with a proactive nature. Comfort with a divide and conquer approach is a must as the part time nanny’s time in the home will overlap with parents and their full time nanny. Both parents work hybrid schedules and will be working part of the time from home. Those who are long-term inclined, active, able to navigate a lot of stairs, and love having a dog in the household are highly encouraged to apply!
