A lovely family located in beautiful Cambridge is searching for an loving live-in nanny to begin by September! They have two children, ages 8.5 and 3.5, who attend programs until the mid-afternoon each day. Living accommodations are a garden style apartment that has one bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen, right in gorgeous Harvard Square. The apartment also has an entrance to the garden.
The base schedule includes a morning shift of 7am-9:30am M-F, plus afternoon shifts of 11am-4pm on Monday, 2pm-9pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 11am-7:30pm on Thursday for a guarantee of 40 hours per week. The ability to work out of the family’s home in the town of Harvard, MA for 2-3 weeks per year is required. Morning shifts begin by assisting the children with their morning routines, serving breakfast, and getting them off to school. Once they’re at school, focus shifts to meal planning and family meal preparation. Healthy, fun, and child-palatable foods are encouraged and creativity is welcomed! Grocery shopping for the week’s menu and making 3-4 batch meals that the children enjoy is the number one goal. Other household management duties include cleaning up after the morning rush, household laundry, running the dishwasher, organizing children’s bedrooms and play spaces, and managing home maintenance, such as scheduling seasonal HVAC inspections, gardeners, landscapers, electricians, and beyond. The afternoon shifts include pick up for both children then care for them both, including playing, singing, going on adventures, doing activities, and keeping them happily engaged and entertained.
