Brookline – Part Time Household Assistant (15-20 hours/week) – August Start

A dual physician family in Brookline is seeking a long-term, part time household assistant to begin in August! They have 3 awesome children, a talented 15 year old and funny, observant 13 year old twins.

The schedule for this position is M-Th 1/2pm-5/6pm for a guarantee of 15-20 hours/week. Optional morning hours are available on Fridays. This role focuses on supporting the twins with their afterschool routines by cultivating their independence and encouraging accountability for their schedules, homework, and chores. Providing snacks and supporting family meals with an emphasis on positive, healthy eating would be appreciated by this family. Additional tasks while the children are in school include family errands, grocery shopping, receiving laundry deliveries/putting laundry away, managing the family calendar, and researching child-related programs, future classes, potential tutors, and extracurricular activities.

Ideal candidates have an easygoing demeanor, proactive nature, and prior experience with school-aged children. A respect for education/teachers and the ability to support the children in becoming their best selves – happy, healthy, and kind – is a must! Driver’s license and car preferred, but negotiable for the right match. Candidates must be fully vaccinated, including the COVID vaccine.
