Somerville/Newton – Full Time Nanny (45 hours/week) – January Start

A lovely and kind family is searching for a full time nanny to begin on January 5th! They have 2 children, ages 3 and 4 months, and the oldest attends a daily program through the afternoon. They currently reside in Somerville, but will be moving to Newton in the fall of 2026. Their Somerville home is T accessible, but their Newton home may be much easier to commute to via car depending on candidate location.

The schedule for this position is M-F 8:30am-5:30pm for a guarantee of 45 hours/week. Primary care is for the baby, but the older child will need care when she is not in school. Responsibilities include all aspects of childcare, planning age-appropriate activities and outings, spending time outdoors as often as possible, children’s laundry and meals, loading/unloading the dishwasher, running errands, keeping the children’s bedrooms well stocked and organized, and general tidying. Assistance with preparing family meals would be greatly appreciated, but is not required.

The family is excited to meet candidates who are patient, safety-conscious, and experienced with both babies and toddlers. Those with a Montessori background and experience with gentle sleep guidance are highly encouraged to apply! French speakers will be given top priority. Candidates must be fully vaccinated, including a current COVID booster.
