Charlestown – Part Time Household Assistant (15-20 hours/week) – September Start

A Charlestown family is searching for a part time household assistant to support them beginning in September! There are 2 adults and 1 child, a toddler, in the home. Their home is T accessible, but a car is preferred for potential errands.

The schedule for this position is guarantees 15-20 hours/week scheduled Tu-Th between the hours of 8am and 5pm based on candidate preference and skill set. This role is focused on day-to-day operations of the home, as well as culinary support and care for 2 dogs (walks, coordinating vet/grooming appointments, etc.). The client is seeking a highly motivated, organized person with a versatile skill set and a positive demeanor. Responsibilities include household laundry, menu planning, grocery shopping, preparing healthy family meals, watering plants, organization projects, and managing the family calendar. Tasks such as inventory management, ordering, handling returns, contacting/scheduling vendors (snow removal, HVAC, etc.), and seasonal projects may be included depending on candidate skill set.

It is crucial that all applicants love dogs and feel confident walking both a 50lb standard Poodle and an 8lb senior Havanese. The willingness to house/dog sit approximately 3 times per year for 1 week at a time is required, with the first need being in mid-October. All candidates must be reliable, trustworthy, and excellent communicators. All PTO (vacation, holiday, sick time) is prorated based on guaranteed hours.
