Cambridge – Live In Nanny (40 hours/week) – September Start

A wonderful family located in beautiful Cambridge is searching for a loving live-in nanny to begin by September! They have two children, ages 8.5 and 3.5, who attend programs until the mid-afternoon each day. Living accommodations include a bright and private garden-level nanny suite with a kitchenette and private entrance located in gorgeous Harvard Square.

The base schedule is M/W 7am-9am and 2pm-9pm, Tu/Th 7am-9am and 11am-7pm, and F 7am-9am for a guarantee of 40 hours per week. A 9am-5pm shift is needed on no school days. The ability to work out of the family’s home in the town of Harvard, MA for 3 weeks out of the year is required. Willingness to also travel up to 4 weeks per year to other locations is required. Morning shifts begin by assisting the children with their morning routines, serving breakfast, and getting them off to school. Once they’re at school, focus shifts to meal planning and family meal preparation. Healthy, fun, and child-palatable foods are encouraged and creativity is welcomed! Grocery shopping for the week’s menu and making 3-4 batch meals that the children enjoy is the number one goal. Other household management duties include cleaning up after the morning rush, household laundry, running the dishwasher, organizing children’s bedrooms and play spaces, and managing home maintenance, such as scheduling seasonal HVAC inspections, gardeners, landscapers, electricians, and beyond. The afternoon shifts include pick up for both children then care for them both, including playing, singing, going on adventures, doing activities, and keeping them happily engaged and entertained.

Willingness to spend as much time outdoors as possible so the boys can interact with nature, build things, explore, and get messy is required! Candidates must be fully vaccinated and open to ongoing COVID boosters and an annual flu shot.
