Boston (South End) – Part Time Nanny (25 hours/week) – ASAP Start

A dual career family in Boston’s South End is searching for a part time nanny to begin as soon as possible! They have one wonderful 6 year old son. The family home is T accessible.

The schedule for this position is M-F 3pm-8pm for 25 guaranteed hours/week. The ability to stay later on occasion is preferred. Duties of this child-centric role include leading developmentally appropriate and structured activities and outings, supervising unstructured play (Legos, puzzles, etc.), and getting outdoors as often as possible. Other tasks include simple child’s meal and snack preparation, dinner clean up, child’s laundry when time allows, and facilitating the evening routine.

Nannies who are able to balance structure with flexibility, maintain a calm demeanor, and foster independence through gentle guidance are encouraged to apply! The family aims to find a calm, caring, engaging candidate who has a warm, patient approach to childcare. They should be confident in setting consistent, respectful boundaries while still creating a fun, positive environment where the child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to learn. One parent works from home 2 days per week.
