Boston (South End) – Part Time Nanny (30 hours/week) – ASAP Start

An active family in Boston’s South End is searching for a long-term, part time nanny to begin as soon as the right match is found. The family has 3 children, ages 4, 2.5, and an infant (5 months). This role is primarily focused on the older children with occasional care for the baby as there is a second nanny or a parent often available during the shift.

This position’s schedule is M-Th 4pm-9pm, F 4pm-8pm, with 6 additional hours scheduled based on the candidate’s preference and the family’s needs for 30 guaranteed hours/week. Responsibilities include planning and engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, spending time outdoors and staying active, preparing and assisting with dinner and clean up, and helping with bath and bedtime routines. Additional duties include keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean and organized, along with general tidying of common spaces if needed.

Nannies who are fun, engaging, athletic, and have plenty of energy and a genuine enjoyment of creating fun, memorable experiences for children would be fantastic fits for this family! The ability to work independently once fully onboarded, while also feeling comfortable with a “divide and conquer approach” during times of overlap and collaboration with the family’s full time nanny and/or mom, is important. The family is looking for someone who is proactive, self-motivated, and takes initiative – someone who naturally looks for ways to be helpful and anticipates what needs to be done to support the efficiency of a busy household. The family has a lake house in Maine, which means there are optional opportunities for extra hours on weekends and/or travel.
