Boston (North End) – Short-Term Nanny (50 hours/week) – April-June

A busy family in Boston’s North End is searching for a short-term nanny to begin ideally on April 8th, lasting through mid-June. Care is almost entirely for 1 baby who will be 5 months old when this role begins. They also have a 3 year old who attends full day school, so care will rarely be for both children.

The ideal schedule for this position is M-F 8am-6pm for a guarantee of 540 hours/week. The family is also able to consider schedules of 8am-5pm or 8am-5:30pm if candidate prefers. Duties include all aspects of infant care, planning developmentally appropriate activities, ensuring the baby has a safe and stimulating environment to thrive in, maintaining a healthy eat/play/sleep schedule, baby laundry, bottle preparation and sterilization, keeping the nursery and play spaces neat, and general tidying.

Prior professional infant experience is required. Being a great communicator is essential, and comfort with parents popping in throughout the day for a baby snuggle is a must as both parents work from home. Candidates who are organized, thoughtful, and will take great notes in the infant care journal are highly encouraged to apply.
