Newton – Full Time Nanny/Family Assistant (40 hours/week) – Mid-December Start

A professional nanny/family assistant is needed for a single parent in Auburndale, a village of Newton, to begin in mid-December. Care will be for 2 children, ages 9 and 7.

The base schedule for this position is 40 guaranteed hours/week, with set shifts on Mondays (12pm-7pm or 6:30am-7pm), Tuesdays (always 6:30am-7pm), Wednesdays (6:30am-11:30am), and every other Friday (11am-6pm). The remaining 9-10.5 hours can be flexible to meet household needs. The schedule is provided on a monthly basis. Optional weekend hours may be offered on occasion and the ability to travel with the family is preferred. Key responsibilities include managing the before and after school routines, transportation, overseeing homework, and creative planning during downtime. While the children are out of the home, the priority is household support, including general tidying, family errands, family meal preparation 2-4 times per week, household laundry, organizational projects, and coordinating vendors/contractors as needed. This is a hybrid position and includes days/hours with no children in the home, which will be focused on household management.

Ideal candidates have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role, a clean driving record, and a high level of emotional intelligence. The family also values a proactive nature, high attention to detail, and an interest in supporting them on a long-term basis. Reliable candidates are highly encouraged to apply as this is paramount.
