Needham – Full Time Nanny/Household Manager (35 hours/week) – ASAP Start

A busy Needham family is searching for a good-natured nanny/household manager to join them as soon as the right match is found! They have 3 children, ages 6.5, 4, and 2.5, who attend school each day.

The schedule for this position is M/W/Th 7am-5pm and F 7am-11am for a guarantee of 35 hours/week. This sample schedule notes Tuesday as the day off, but the family will know soon whether the day off will be Tu, W, or Th, and that day will stay consistent. Willingness to occasionally work more hours would be appreciated. Childcare duties include getting the children ready for school, preparing lunches, sending them off with the necessary belongings, getting them on the bus or driving them to school, school pick ups, and going through the afternoon routine. While the children are in school, household duties include family meal planning and preparation (3 meals/week), grocery shopping, overseeing household repairs, miscellaneous errands, letting the dog out into the fenced yard, ensuring he has food and water, administrative tasks such as travel arrangements and preparations, ordering supplies, household laundry, children’s linens, organizational projects, and general tidying. The family has a separate housekeeper who works a part time schedule and manages the deep cleaning.

Ideal candidates are honest, strong communicators who are skilled in making sure a busy household with varied schedules runs smoothly. A level of tech-savviness is important, as well as the ability to think critically independently. Being an excellent, comfortable, and safe driver is a must! One parent works a hybrid schedule, spending a few days per week working from a separate home office. If desired, the opportunity to travel with the family for 1-2 weeks per year is available!
