Hingham – Live In Household Assistant (35+ hours/week) – Mid-August/Early September Start

A family who is relocating to Hingham is looking for a live-in household assistant to join them beginning in mid-August/early September! They have 2 children (10 and 2) and this role is focused on day-to-day household operation. They have a separate service for weekly cleaning.

The base schedule is 4 weekdays (can be M-F if the candidate prefers), plus one weekend shift of 7-10 hours. The family will guarantee a minimum of 35 hours/week, but more hours are available if preferred. Parents will be present for a majority of the weekday hours, focusing on the children. Childcare responsibilities are typical during the weekend shift while parents are out of the home. The household assistant will be responsible for facilitating the morning, dinner, bath, and bedtime routines, cleaning up after meals, household laundry, preparation of simple family meals (nothing fancy!), family errands, occasional daycare pickups, and daily tidying of common areas and children’s spaces.

Live-in accommodations include a private bedroom with en suite bathroom. Optional travel opportunities are available!
