A dual career family in Dover, NH is seeking a live in nanny to care for their 3 year old. The family also has a dog and several horses, so the ideal candidate must not only love children, but be comfortable around the dog and horses as well.
A base concept of the schedule for this position is M: 12-5pm, Tu: 8am-4pm, W/Th/F: 9am-5pm, Sa/Su: 8am-12pm*. When in New Hampshire, the nanny will have half day Saturdays and full day Sundays off. When in Florida, the nanny will have half day Saturdays and full day Mondays off. Flexibility with scheduling is needed (with notice). The family spends 6 mo/year in Florida and 6 mo/year in New Hampshire, so nanny must be comfortable living and working in both states. Nanny must be comfortable with travel to other states for a week or weekend 1-2x/mo.
Living accommodations are a basement apartment with a kitchen and separate entrance in New Hampshire and a separate house with 3 other staff in Florida Responsibilities include general tidying, transportation to/from activities/daycare, playing, reading, family meal prep (occasionally), running errands, household organization, and grocery shopping.
The family is seeking a nanny who is fond of animals, especially horses, and comfortable working with them. The nanny should also be organized and clean.
A valid driver’s license is required. A car is preferred. There is a car available in each state for nanny use during shift.
