Cambridge – Full Time Nanny (40 hours/week) – June Start

A lovely family located between the Porter/Harvard Square neighborhoods of Cambridge is searching for a full time nanny to begin in June. They have a 1.5 year old and are expecting a newborn in November.

The schedule for this position is M-F 9am-5pm for a guarantee of 40 hours/week. As of September, the schedule will shift to M-F 10am-6pm. Responsibilities include all aspects of childcare, planning developmentally appropriate activities, and going on outings/spending time outdoors. Other duties include healthy meal and snack preparation, household laundry (no parent clothing), loading/unloading the dishwasher, keeping the nursery clean, stocked, and organized, and general tidying. After the new baby arrives and mom’s maternity leave ends, care for the baby will become part of this position.

Prior experience caring for toddlers and infants is required. The family is excited to meet candidates who have a supportive presence and approach each day with joy and encouragement. They hope their nanny will reinforce good behaviors and maintain a healthy, solid daily routine with the children. Creating a safe, stimulating environment, employing good hygiene, and remaining diligent about safety are important. Comfort with swimming is a must. Both parents work hybrid schedules and spend most days working from home.
