Additional Information:
A busy Cambridge family is searching for an experienced full time nanny mainly for their 1 year old beginning in September! Care will also be for his older siblings, ages 3 and 5, when they arrive home from school in the afternoon.
The schedule for this position is M-Th 8am-6pm and F 8am-1pm for a guarantee of 45 hours/week. Mom is currently at home, so the nanny will rarely be responsible for all three children at once, but the ability to work independently is a must. Care is mostly for the youngest until the older children arrive home at 3pm. Responsibilities include going on lots of fun walks, planning developmentally appropriate activities, meal preparation, generally keeping the children safe and happy, light household tidying, children’s meal preparation, child-related organization, and occasional children’s laundry.
The family owns a home in Rhode Island and would love to meet a nanny who is willing to work a couple of days each week at their Rhode Island home in the months of July and August. The nanny will still be compensated for 45 hours during those weeks, even if working less than that. A commuter vehicle will be provided to/from the Rhode Island home, which also includes spacious accommodations, and will pay for travel time. The ability to travel with the family to other locations is also desired, but not required.
Perfect matches for this family are proactive, flexible, organized, and willing to pitch in where needed! As you’ll be working in a generally bustling home with lots of moving parts, confident communication skills coupled with patience and an upbeat presence are important qualities to have. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be fully vaccinated, including the COVID vaccine and booster.
