Cambridge – Full Time Household Assistant/Nanny (40 hours/week) – ASAP Start

A dual career family located in the gorgeous Harvard Square neighborhood of Cambridge are searching for a full time household assistant/nanny to join them beginning ASAP. There is flexibility with the start date for the right match. They have 4 children – a 14 year old, 10 year old twins, and a 5 year old. All of the children attend school/camp full time. There is also one grandparent who lives in the home and has a full time caregiver, plus housekeepers clean the home twice per week.

The schedule for this position is M-F 11am-7pm for a guarantee of 40 hours/week with occasional requests for extra hours based on parent commitments. The first half of the day will consist of household duties such as children’s laundry, daily kitchen cleanup, grocery shopping, family errands, keeping common spaces and children’s belongings organized, and preparing family dinner (nothing fancy!) for 4 children and 3 adults. After school hours are focused on transportation for the 3 youngest children, homework supervision, playtime and downtime, and managing the evening routine. There is a gentle Springerdoodle in the home with his own dog walker, but occasional walks and lots of love and affection may be requested!

Those who are seeking a long term commitment and have strong driving skills, a proactive nature, and good judgement/time management skills are highly sought after for this role! An enjoyment for working with school-aged children is a must, and that combined with a helpful spirit and sweet disposition is the best match. Candidates must be fully vaccinated, including the COVID vaccine and booster.
