Brookline – Part Time Household Assistant (15 hours/week) – ASAP Start

Professional Brookline clients are seeking an experienced, part time household assistant to begin when the right match is found! There is flexibility with the start date through October. There are 4 people in the household, 2 adults and 2 children, ages 16 and 12.

The ideal schedule for this position is Tu-Th from 10am-3pm for a guarantee of 15 hours/week. The family is also open to a 9am-2pm schedule each day, and for the right match, switching one day of the schedule. Duties include light family meal preparation (making pasta/rice, the occasional simple meal, chopping veggies, making lunch from time to time), receiving deliveries/grocery shopping, and running other errands as needed. Other responsibilities include household laundry and linens, vacuuming and sweeping common spaces, managing household recycling and trash, coordinating deliveries, overseeing household repairs and maintenance, managing emails and correspondence, travel arrangements and preparation, researching vendors, and occasional support with event planning. The client has a separate service for deep cleaning.

All candidates must be proactive, professional, and discreet. Those who have some administrative skills, take great pride in their work, are detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative would be wonderful matches for this family. Using good judgement and making thoughtful, efficient decisions are musts in this role.
