Boston (Back Bay) – Full Time Private Educator (30-35 hours/week) – Early July Start

A high net worth family who will be relocating to Boston in early summer is seeking a private educator for their sweet, smart nearly 6 year old son beginning in early July! The start date is flexible and the family is sincerely excited to meet the right person to join their family and enrich their son’s life. This position offers a competitive compensation and PTO package!

The ideal schedule for this position is M-F 9:30am-3pm, which includes 5-6 hours of direct instruction per day, plus 5-10 hours per week of curriculum planning. The family is open to guaranteeing 30 or 35 hours based on candidate preference. The goal of this position is to provide a homeschool education for a soon to be first grader recovering from health issues that have impacted his expressive speech, fine motor skills, and neuromuscular control. He is a good-natured and happy and is eager to please. The family would be thrilled for the private educator to create an individual curriculum to help catch him up with his peers and get him ready to enter the 2nd grade in the fall of 2024. Planning outings and adventures in the city should be incorporated, as well as weekly meetings with parents and/or other support professionals to ensure everyone is on the same page.

All candidates must have prior teaching experience, ideally supporting children with extra needs, strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor. The family home is T accessible, but parking is available if driving to arrive. Travel opportunities are available for those interested, but they are not required. Candidates must be fully vaccinated, including the COVID vaccine and booster.
