Swampscott – Full Time Nanny (36 hours/week) – ASAP Start

A sweet family in Swampscott is searching for an experienced full time nanny to begin ASAP! They have 2 children, ages 4 years old and an infant (4 months). The older child attends preschool until the mid-afternoon each day.

The schedule for this position is M/Th/F 12pm-6pm, Tu/W 8:30am-5:30pm for a guarantee of 36 hours/week. The family is open to considering different scheduling configurations. This role is focused mainly on the baby during the daytime, and duties include thoughtful infant care, planning developmentally appropriate activities, children’s laundry, bottle preparation and sterilization, children’s meal preparation, and general organization and tidying throughout the day. This is a divide-and-conquer style position as mom is hands-on when not working part time.

Prior infant experience is required, as is the ability to manage an active preschooler. The nanny will rarely have both children at once and a proactive, can-do attitude is a must in this position. Mom will spend time with the baby during the day at times. Excitement about both childcare and household duties is the goal, as household tasks when the baby is not in tow are desired. Helping the family run smoothly with a team mentality is important.
